Romania

Casie's look:

I really liked this sepia photo of the woman in the striped skirt. I don't own a striped skirt, but I might have too. I tried to wear my scarf the same way as this lovely lady, but it kind of went way too pirate. So here I am, Romanian folkiness at every turn. I got several pirate comments today anyway, and one or two "Lucy crushing grapes" looks, but I chose to ignore them.

Like Jillian, I think of gymnastics when I think of Romania. But I also think of gypsies!! Today I went with a variation on the Romanian flag of gold, red and blue with Joe's jeans, a Halogen tank and an H&M sweater. I paired it with a chunky stone necklace from Silpada since gypsies love jewelry!!

Surprisingly, the first thing I thought of when I read the challenge was "Romania" was "gymnastics". Olga Korbut and Nadia Comenici were amazing to me when I was in elementary school. So I am channeling those Romanian striped leotards, and I also have on my gold medal.
