This made me think of those Zen gardens where you rake the sand into patterns. I thought my skirt looks like the swirly sand patterns and my top represents the green of the garden.

I'm feeling very zen today - in a floral top with scallopped 3/4 length sleeves and green cords by Marlowe (some of the most comfy pants around) and gold Stella and Dot jewelry. You'll see my eyes are at half mast in the photo - I am serene!!

My favorite Prince song is Raspberry Beret. In the video, it is all blue sky's and balloons and touchy feely goodness. So I have on a blue dress covered in flowers. I don't own a raspberry beret but maybe I should get one. This picture is poo but it was the best one I got.



Kim's look:

A purple sweater over a white blouse to emulate his purpleness' look. Add my diamond ring and my pearl earrings and necklace for his song!

For me, Prince will always be shimmering in purple!

Anne of Green Gables

Ok. I LURVE these books. I have read them all and I highly recommend. Precious, precious. Today I am Anne at the train station in her simple, blue jumper and black tights. If I had enough hair, I woulda hit you with braids too.

Tough one today. I'm in a green paisley patterned top that's a faux wrap. Reminds me of the smock type clothing she wore!

I am the house from this book today. Necklace is Stella and Dot, Shirt was a bday gift from the sister, earrings were bought at a little shop next door. Have a good week everyone:)

I am notebook paper- blue and white stripes with a pink accent. My necklace has rocks and the bent metal loops on the pendant look like scissor handles.

It's crazy hair day at the kid's school and since I volunteered there today I wore one of Casie 's wigs. So the wig is blue paper. My necklace has rocks and my sleeves are gray (Casie's shirt) for scissors.

Monday challenge: Anne of Green Gables

Today I am the white rabbit. I feel like this guy a lot- always one step behind where I should be. Last night I found out I somehow missed that I was supposed to be helping my kindergartener create a leprechaun trap that is due tomorrow. MAD DASH OF CRAFTING! We should be ok. There is a lot of glitter on my kitchen table, and one Barbie shoe has been sacrificed for the cause (which is causing my 3-year old no end of confusion cuz that shoe is for BARBIES). I don't have a pocket watch, so my giant skittle necklace will have to suffice. But hey, I managed a red jacket and blue pants, the gold shoes are my trade for the gold vest. I am certain I am late for a very important date or at least a grade school craft project.

I forgot to take a blog picture this morning, but Charles happened to take this one during breakfast. I am inspired today by the wonky dreamlike scenes from Alice in Wonderland (which I thought my shirt represented well). My necklace represents the caterpillar on the big mushroom.
