I think we jumped the shark. Well, at least we were bored. We are taking a break from the styling game. Perhaps to be revisited in the Fall. Maybe with different rules. Who knows? The world is our oyster and your oyster and everyone's oyster. So basically I am saying to share and don't be SHELLFISH. HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! Oh crap, I might wet my pants from laughing. Better ride into the sunset until we meet again.
Best,
Casie

Richard Simmons
Casie's look:
I know this is the lamest representation of Richard Simmons ever worn by a person representing Richard Simmons. I had a kindergarten graduation event this morning and after about five minutes of bumping into the walls of my closet room (yes, I have a closet room) in my underpants, I gave up and went for something that included bling. While this shirt has sequins and I think that technically Richard prefers a bedazzled look, I am going with it.
Jilli's look:
First of all...GO JILLI. IT IS YOUR BIRTHDAY!
Official business aside...
Inspired today by Richard Simmons' enthusiasm and joy for life, I am wearing bright cheerful purple head to toe and a big smile! A bit of an inspiration stretch but can't bring me down today. :)

Grace Kelly
Kim's look:
Casie's look:
*please forgive the flash....
You know, most of the pictures of Grace Kelly are just of her face. Guess that speaks to her beauty. I just went kind of generically demure today. Ballet flats, full skirt, pearls...
Jilli's look:
I thought this neckline was Grace Kelly
inspired. I'm also in skinny jeans - which I'm thing she would have worn
if she wore jeans!

Casie's look:
I think my favorite girl group song is Tonight's the Night by the Shirelles. Makes me think of Dirty Dancing. I went looking for girl group album covers yesterday and came across this one with the black dresses and the red necklaces. I think the shape of this outfit comes pretty close- minus the print on top. I also made sure to create bouffant hair. Like you do.....DOH! I shoulda worn my red shoes.

Art Inspriation- Michael Whelan
My little Ray Bradbury shout out....
This is a piece of art by Michael Whelan. It depicts a story from Ray Bradbury's The Martian Chronicles (my favorite story from The Martian Chronicles- BTW). I think it is fitting that we celebrate Mr. Bradbury's own artistic contribution this week.
If you did not get a chance to check out the link where I found this painting yesterday, here you go.
Please read the Ray Bradbury commentary about Mars. This was a man with a fascinating mind.
Kim's look:
Martian glamor cannot be denied.
Casie's look:
Ignore the clothing. Think of it as a blank canvas upon which my accessories do the talking. The orangy, tortoise shell beads are for the martian landscape in the painting. My bracelet is the mask. This story is so haunting- about a Martian woman who dreams of an astronaut coming to Mars. I did a project on this story in my A.P. English class in high school. I made my interpretation of the mask. It basically involved glitter and more glitter. Mmmmmm.....glitter.
